Privacy Policy
Match My Traffic ("we", "us") is a marketing agency based in Toronto, Canada. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, how we use it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and, where they apply, other privacy laws.
Information we collect
- Applications. When you apply for a free audit or offer, we collect your name, email, website, your answers to our four questions, the service you chose, the page you applied from, and the ad campaign tags in the link you followed.
- The free scorecard. We collect the business name, city and website you enter. We look up your public Google Maps listing and your public website to calculate your scores. Google listing details are shown to you live and are not stored by us; we keep only Google's place identifier and the scores we calculated. If you ask us to email the report, we collect your first name and email.
- Chat. Messages you type into Navi, our website assistant, are sent to our AI provider to generate a reply. We do not store chat conversations. Please do not share sensitive personal information in the chat.
- Abuse prevention. We keep a one-way scrambled (hashed) version of your IP address for a short time to stop automated abuse of our forms and free tools. We do not use it to identify you.
How we use your information
- To prepare and deliver the free audit, scorecard or offer you asked for, and to follow up about it.
- To run, secure and improve our website and services.
- We do not sell personal information, and we do not add you to a mailing list without your consent.
Who helps us
We use service providers to run the website and our business: Supabase (database, hosted in Canada), Netlify (website hosting and a backup copy of form submissions), Google (Maps listing data and website speed tests), Anthropic (the chat assistant), our email provider, and the measurement tools listed above. Some of these providers process information outside Canada, including in the United States, and only to the extent needed to provide their service to us.
How long we keep it
We keep applications and business records for as long as needed to respond to you and keep proper records, then delete or anonymize them. Scorecard records without contact details are deleted after 12 months. Abuse-prevention records are deleted within a few days.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal information at any time by emailing matchmytraffic@gmail.com. You can also withdraw consent to communications at any time. If you have a concern we have not resolved, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
